More Black Cod Coming in October! Do you know Black Cod or Just in the mood to try something new? Our fellow reefnetting friend Tom Monroe started in this MSC certified fishery years ago. Black Cod- also called Sable Fish are caught nearly 2,500 ft deep off Alaska's pristine coast. This year we decided to bring some of the best home for you to try. His recommended recipe is to rub a 50/50 mix of fine sea salt/brown sugar into steaks and let sit for 1-3 hours. Rinse off, put unto tin foil and brush with Yoshidas/teriyaki sauce.
