Pink Ikura – salt cured salmon roe – has a fresh, clean and mild taste. With a beautifully vibrant, orange color these eggs have a mild pop, with a medium dry with a juicy finish. They have a medium egg size, around 3.5mm in diameter.
Our Pink Salmon Ikura comes from wild, Salish Sea Pink Salmon and is produced with a custom 2.6% brine, which preserves the clean flavor without adding too much sodium to your diet.
Salmon roe is a superfood which is very rich in omega 3 fatty acids, and good for brain development and immune systems, especially those of children. Sought by caviar lovers everywhere, salted wild salmon roe (Ikura) has become a prized delicacy.

Arrived very cold (and probably still frozen – I didn’t check until they’d been in the fridge for a day). Got two packages, excellently packed. It was shipped half way across the country during a heat wave in August, for reference. Totally fresh.
I found this type of ikura slightly less sweet than the chum ikura I’m used to, but that’s a difference in type, not in quality. The quality was excellent and I would definitely consider purchasing it again.
