Also known as silver salmon, cohos have a red-orange color, with a traditional, rich salmon flavor. Cohos eat other fish as well as zooplankton, and have a slightly stronger salmon flavor than sockeye salmon. An excellent choice for grilling, broiling, sautéing, baking, poaching, steaming, and smoking.
Harvested by our friends at Kwik’Pak Fisheries, these Coho salmon have a fresh, clean flavor and medium texture. This unique fishery is the last Native American fishery of its kind in Alaska. Fishing is still done following age old traditions, community-owned Kwik’pak Fisheries operates a modern processing plant in Emmonak, Alaska where they focus on strict quality standards to produce delicious, nutritious, and sustainable salmon, that is also fully traceable back to its source.
