Dungeness crab from Lummi Island Wild are pre-cooked and flash frozen, nearly eliminating the need for any additional preparation. Choose from one, three, or five crab, averaging 1.5 – 2 lb each. For best results, we recommend thawing your crabs in the refrigerator, then placing them in a pot of unsalted boiling water for 4 minutes.
Dungeness Crab Recipe Tips

Handling Instructions – Whole Cooked Dungeness Crab
Keep frozen or thaw immediately before use.
HEAT BEFORE SERVING:
For best results, thaw and then place in a large pot of unsalted, boiling water for 4 minutes.

We decided to splurge for our 2020 pandemic Holidays at home, and we’re really glad we did! We ordered the five pack, intending to eat them over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. We tried and failed to eat a whole one each on Thanksgiving, extending our feast into a second day! We will order again for special occasions. The only suggestion I have – a printed guide for cleaning them would be awesome to include with the cooking instructions, for people who have not done it before. It’s really easy, but I didn’t know where to start without looking it up first.

We ordered 5 Dungeness crabs which arrived exactly on schedule and totally frozen with lots of dry ice remaining, and we live in Minnesota. We have thawed and boiled for 4 minutes in plain water (no salt added), cooled them some, removed the main shell, rinsed out the “guts”, and ate them slowly, piece by piece. These were wonderful, almost as good as starting with live crabs.
